Beyond that I am a 42 year old African-American male. I was born in Mississippi and spent most of my childhood there other than 1972-1976 when I lived in Pittsburgh, PA – Go Steelers! I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Most of the time we were raised by a single mother.

As an adult I’ve lived in New Orleans, LA; New Haven, CT; Yazoo City, MS; Oxford, MS; Shreveport, LA; Atlanta, GA; Chattanooga, TN and Greenville, SC. I was in New Haven to attend Yale University, but did not graduate from there. I was in Oxford, MS attending Ole Miss, but didn’t graduate from there either. I finally graduated from the Univ. of TN at Chattanooga.

I’ve been married for 14 years to a wonderful woman from Long Island, NY. I have three beautiful, smart children. We just got a dog. I work as an IT Consultant and Network Marketer. I am a voracious reader. I’m learning Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates. I used to love lifting weights until I tore my glute and found out I had a cracked vertebra and ruptured discs.

I played football in highschool, graduated in the top 10 of my class. I was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist and won a National Achievement Scholarship. I was student body president and even voted most handsome my senior year. That’s going way back 🙂

  1. :).. I hope everything is well with you. I enjoy your views on quotes. I do think its wonderful that you do keep a gratitude journal, I wish more people would do that. Life would be as joyful as it is joyful.

  2. My husband and I are looking into taking some Tai Chi classes. I am impressed and amazed with your consistancy and continuance of your gratitude journal. I have experienced with many types of journaling and had a gratitude journal for awhile. It was the most theraputic and uplifting experince. When I did it, I stuck to lists of three. So I am impressed that you keep a list of ten things you are thankful for and to give yourself ten acknowldgments is amazing! Many people don’t give themselves enough credit. I am sure you have benefited greatly!
