This gratitude journal will cover the last several days. I was off the net 20090206-20090208 and really just didn’t get back into my rhythm until today.
I am thankful for or that
- LEB and I made drove to and from Hilton Head safely.
- All the people who made the World Wide Marriage Encounter possible.
- LEB’s niece LET for coming to stay with the kids while we were gone.
- My dad’s friend, J, for helping him at the hospital.
- Dad got to come home from the hospital.
- The nurse who caught the infection at the site of PAH’s surgical wound.
- Money to treat LEB and myself to a wonderful dinner at Redfish Restaurant.
- LEB picking me up from St. Francis where I walked after getting off the bus.
- Greenville Transit Authority.
- All the folks who make The Biggest Loser possible.
I acknowledge myself for
- Washing lots of dishes.
- Doing lots of laundry.
- Cleaning the master bathroom.
- Being open to and caring enough about my marriage to attend the WWME.
- Doing my Turbulence Training workout before leaving for Hilton Head and the WWME.
- Not being rule-bound and doing some of our writing and discussion outside during the WWME.
- Reconnecting with the kids when we got home.
- Watching The Biggest Loser with GAB and CIB.
- Being firm with MJB.
- Going to bed at a decent hour.

Man, I really love to watch No Reservations. Anthony Bourdain is my kind of guy. I would love to travel and eat and drink and make merry as he does. I’m not sure I could eat ant eggs, like he did in Thailand, or Wart Hog entrails complete w/ the undigested grass the wart hog had recently eaten as he did in Namibia w/ the Bushmen of the Kalahari. However so many of the places he goes are beautiful and the food looks absolutely delicious. Most recently his trip to Uruguay revealed a beautiful country and some awesome foods centered around meat and seafood.
