“Success is the maximum utilization of the ability that you have.” — Zig Ziglar, Motivational Speaker
Wow, what a great definition of success. It doesn’t focus on the results but on activity. It focuses on doing, or as Art Williams said in his book, “All You Can Do Is All You Can Do, But All You Can Do Is Enough!”. The question is are we really using our abilities to the maximum? And the answer is probably not. I remember from listening to Les Brown say that he encourages people to die empty! We’re all going to die, why leave anything of your ability, your thoughts and dreams unspent, not acted upon, unrealized? What one small step can you take today to use more of your abilities? What one small step can you take to bring a thought into the physical world? What one small step can you take towards your dreams? I was listening to Scott Alexander, author of Rhinoceros Success, and he said that the moment you take action toward that dream or goal you are a success, not when you’ve thought about it or achieved it, but from the very moment you act on it and keep acting towards it!
